In 2023, the UNDP Seychelles successfully concluded its 2017-2023 Country Programme, meeting all targets and setting the stage for the new 2024-2028 programme focused on climate change and socioeconomic development. Despite global disruptions, Seychelles maintained a 4.3% economic growth rate, boosted by a 5% increase in visitor arrivals. Key initiatives included the launch of SeyID, a digital ID platform, and the SDG Investor Map, promoting private sector investment in areas like renewable energy and food security. UNDP supported climate adaptation and sustainable livelihoods through various projects. The Government's 2024 budget allocates SRC 1.45 billion for capital projects, aiming to enhance business environments and social inclusion. UNDP's strategic interventions align with Seychelles' development priorities, fostering resilience and economic growth.
